Something different

I don't know if folks care about this one, but I find it interesting. Here is a Russel Wright designed Conant Ball piece. Russel Wright did their "American Modern" collection of which this is part of.

We purchased a rather shabby, but very functional, HW corner table for our TV from a couple in the Hollywood hills about 7 years ago. In the corner, they had this item and said, "Do you want that too? We need the space". Price? $70.

I don't know what it is, but I like it. Three adjustable shelves are inside.

So Fa So Good

Here is our Sofa. This was redone with leftover vintage material that alas, will probably have to be done in a few years!

You also see the back of Fuzzy who refused to move.

You will also see in this shot my wife's HW Executive Desk, and the back of two HW bookcases that are back to back with the couch.

"Glow balls" in the middle of the picture are either friendly spirts or the results of the flash...they are not on the sofa.

Living room fun

Here is an original finish Lamp Table with a slightly too-big-for it lamp, backed up by the Tambour Utility Case.

A simple, elegant

corner table with faux Sparton Bluebird Radio (most of the time I hate phony re-dos, but I kind of liked this radio).

Greg, Mike, and Kevin, that is some FABULOUS Wakefield, keep it coming! I have to admit, that blonde finish really stands out...

Westy...

All you have to do is start out with something like a dresser, and then you are hooked, and then you will be hopeless!

Ask and ye shall receive...

Here's the buffet with a fabulously tacky Christmas centerpiece I found. It has a top part also, but I don't use it. I'll have to poke around a bit to find a picture of the record cabinet.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. A few years ago when I was out of work and money was non existent I went to an estate sale where there was the most magnificent HW dining room set - table 8 chairs, china cabinet and sideboard for $600. I went back several times, but just could not get the $ together. I often think how fabulous it would have been to have that set...

Today's HW Showcase

OK, let's finish off the living room. First up is this HW corner table. I have two of these, one in champange and one in wheat. This is the wheat one. No room for the other one right now. There's a version of this corner table without the "spider legs". The spider legs are a must have to get that jetson's feel.

HW Side Table

Here's a side table in champagne that match my end tables in the next post. There is actually a pull out drawer in the top but the design disguises this fact. The entire front is the front of the drawer.

HW End Tables

These are my favorite ever HW end tables. It's in the corner next to the sofa. Again, these have a hidden drawer in the front. They are champagne finish. I took the picture from this angle so that you could see the Paul Mccobb credenza with optional shelves on top. If you compare it to Dan's buffet, you can certainly see that it is the same designer. Paul Mccobb designed some wonderful furniture.

There is a coffee table that matches these end tables. It has the hidden drawer and the spider legs. Unfortunately, they are very rare and hard to find. It's at the top of my want list.

HW Encore set View 1

We'll knock off one bedroom quick. My guest bedroom has an Encore bedroom set. It is in wheat finish.

HW Encore set View 2

This angle shows the dresser and mirror combo and the matching bed stand. Actually, the encore line had two different bed stands to choose from and this is the smaller of the two.

That's it for today, I think.

I am really enjoying looking at everyone's furniture. Thanks for creating this thread Mr. Gansky.

Kohinoor Bedroom set

OK, so I just found this picture of my bedroom furniture although the matching bed is not in the picture. This set is called the Kohinoor line. It was named after a "famous" british diamond. This is probably because the design is sort of faceted, with the drawer pulls being a facet in the design.

These are wheat finish, and this is the bedroom where I put my new room divider.
