Our KDS-19 works great, except that the brass bushing that the main (lower) spray arm mounts over pops off in the wash. It used to happen only occasionally, but now happens every load. I just slide it back on, but it always comes off, so the wash must be degraded when the spray arm can't rotate properly.

This is somewhat related to the recent thread linked as follows, as the assembly's exploded view looks about the same for ours.

How to remedy? Thanks for any advice.

TOugh problem not a hard fix but...

If you read the post you referred to, Neither Whirlpool not Hobart provide the wash arm supports anymore. Hobart superceded them in the early 90's and Whirlpool seems to have done the same recently. This leaves anyone with a KD18,19, or 20 series machine in need of a support totally out of luck.
Some of us have some available from donor machines.I suggest that you should see a machine similar to what you currently own on a curb or behind Lowe's or wherever, to grab it and take it home to strip for spares. You will be surprised how many parts can be used from model to model especially the 16-17 series, the 18,19,20 series and the 21-22 and to some extent,23 series as well.

If you cannot locate a support assembly anywhere, let me or some of the other members know. We can help you out.

Great move on Whirlpool's part isn't it? Discontinue the parts for machines that will outlive anything they can market now! Like any of us would really run down and buy one!

OK, I think I've found it. Is it the whole dang magilla as shown in the link I got from the other thread? If so, does it look like this one will fit?

check the link above!

I posted the breakdown for the original poster to check and you can do that now as well to see how it fits together.
Hope you luck out and get yourself a washarm support so you can keep that classic going.
