I really enjoyed reading your post, so much so that I re-read it a second time. I am sorry about the sad parts, but am really happy for you that you got almost everything re-assembled in your own home. You must have a huge sense of accomplishment.

Bob. It's an Apex dryer. I got it several years back (2016?) From my ex's aunt. It was in her shed on her farm

Wow, what Pumper said , and a Herculean effort by any measure. Little wonder people stopped and stared with all that vintage turquoise and pink porcelain and gleaming chrome.
Loved especially, seeing the Easy Spin, the wringers, and the round tub Kenmore automatic not to mention the all bongo combos--Holy Fudge!
