**WOOOOOOOW!!!** That's amazing!!!! It looks as though it just rolled off the assembly line!!!! Did they even use assembly lines to make these machine back then? Or was that just a car thing? Anywho, YAY!!!!!!!!
Ooooooh wow! How fabulous! As exciting as coloured machines go, you can't beat a good old white 1940s toploader with front controls! Well done again on this fabulous machine. Makes me want one even more!
Well, how nice and clean is that. Did you take the whole machine to a body shop? Do you do it yourself? Next the control backsplash, how was that done. I have the 47 Unimatic that will need some attention like that.
Robert, OUTSTANDING restoration! The machine looks just beautiful with that glossy finish...the difference between the left and right photos is like night and day. No more "old refrigerator look"!
Thanks so much for sharing. This project of yours has been so much fun (for us).
Do tell, please. What was the most interesting part of the restoration. The timer mechanisms? The pump(s)? Or just the entire concept of this very unique and beautiful machine - obviously built by engineers and not by the marketing idiots.
That machine looks very nice. Restored to it's old glory, you're such a genius. The control panel cleaned up very nice too, how did you do that? Great job, an inspiration for others.
WOW!! That looks just fantastic!! I just love it!! Factory fresh from Robert's Rebuilding Service. You know what I always say... "I don't care what they look like, as long as they look brand new" LOL!! Great job on a great classic!
Congratulations Robert, I don't know how you do it. That machine looks like brand new. I remember seeing that machine while I was in AZ and I never thought that it would look like it does today. Thanks so much for sharing. Terry
