Just a shame it hasn't got it's original drain hose but apart from that & after a re-spray & a bit of oiling, it works a treat.

This spinner will come in very handy in the winter time when i need to use my Tumble Dryer more.

July 1972 so it turned 40 last month
In all honesty you probably wont get a huge amount more water out than a 1200rpm auto will but they are fun to use- we have the last model produced

Funny you should mention that Seamus because i have just taken a load of towels out of the Electra washer spun on long spin with a final 20 second burst @ 1200rpm, & i though just out of curiosity i would put some of them through the Hoover spin dryer & the amount of water it's extracting is so unreal.

Great find there Craig, I always like the tall slimness of these spinners, looks in good condition, what type of hose is on it?? it looks original from what I can see!!

The last model (I have one too) only spins at 1400rpm, I believe this earlier version will be something like 2300rpm and on somthing like towels that could make a big difference

The original hose had to be replaced because it had perished so badly. It's just a shame that you can't get them anymore.

I use a Miele Spin dryer if I have a lot of heavy washing and find it removes a lot of water even after a 1600 spin in the washer and cuts the drying time down by about 20/30 minutes a load and some things go str8 to iron with no need to dry, so over a year its saving me a lot of money as we have around 4/5 loads a day. I Would hate to be without it now. Loads that are hard to balance in the washer like dog beds ect. I turn the spin speed down to 400 rpm to its not knocking out the bearings on the washer and then spin in the spin dryer + all the bits that are washer by hand get spun so I'm not using the spin only program on the washer and a big + is that towels and jeans ect come out much softer if line dried, as any remaining soap id flushed instead of drying it into the fabric. I think a lot of people are now finding a spin dryer a must, my local shop was telling new ones are now one of his best sellers
