Question for you guys... would a hotpoint drain pump fit my A3110? ITs an old hotpoint with no filter in it so evertything passes through the pump.

Hi Jon

The A3110 looks excellent and really is in good condition.

My aunt and uncle definitely had the metal lid version, as it used to protrude from the worktop by a good 20 or so centimetres. Strangely they had narrow units at the back wall - god knows why.

The machine looked great in the ebay advert and has turned out to be so.

Though the years are a bit out by a couple of years, your picture of the A3110 alongside the AEG 971 is oh so very Currys-ish, with the camera at just the right height to give the impression I had as a child, stalking the aisles and dragging relatives behind me! Replace the AEG with an A3108 and it could be late 1981 all over again :-)

You posted the A3110 manual cover....

....here are the rest (bar two!), for the sake of completeness.

Anyone any idea for him?

Paul,

Thanks for the scans. My 1st house share had a 610 but it had been seriously abused by the 6 other residents that lived on my floor. When it broke I was 1st to volunteer to wait in for the repair man... alas the machine was scrapped as the shocks had gone but was replaced with an A3110.....happy days! BTW the downstairs lot had a Zanussi, forget the model no but was low spin, one option button rebadged by Hotpiont I think.

The greatest machine we ever owned. Washed for a family of seven plus guests and a pub for 7 yrs. At least 4 full loads a day.
Ours came straight from the factory in Merthyr in a thick black cover in 1980... and died of massive bearing failure in 87.
