Philips 2000 range of dishwashers

Hi Paul, I've looked through all my Philips dishwasher leaflets and I don't think they started off with the blue knobs, could be wrong through. The leaflet I posted a few days ago with the three machines show the range without water softener and soap dispenser, which to my mind show this is the start of their machines as quickly these items became quite standard.

Here's a scan of the last brochure I have before the range was really overalled to look different.

Cheers, Alan

Here's my Mum's Philips dishwasher in our Kitchen early 1980s, I took these photos for a school project, she was very trusting allowing me to unscrew it and turn it over!

VERY trusting indeed, Alan!

Thanks for the picture of your family's Philips dishwasher and those of it being taken apart!

Not wanting to induce thread drift into the world of washers on a dishwasher thread, BUT what washer did you have at this time?

Thanks also for posting the photos of your Philips dishwasher brochures - can I ask a favour - could you list the AAD model numbers for me? They are a touch difficult to make out clearly and want to make sure I get them correct.

Below is what I think was the replacement range and a series that I don't have any recollections of seeing in the shops. Surprising really, as they are very Philips and very smart (the one below is ADG824 E5).

Regards
Paul

Not forgetting HOOVER!

Here is the 'New Magic' AutoJet and SuperJet brochure from 1979, though I think the range will have been introduced in 1978, alongside the laundry range (could be wrong though).

In the past, I think people came to the conclusion that these were Bauknecht machines in disguise? Anyone able to confirm again?

AAD numbers

Hi Paul

No problem to scan the numbers again, here they are. I have all those next generation brochures too from Philips if anyone wants them.

(I'll put pictures of my Mum's Automatic on your other post).

Few more machines from the 80s

The Servis and the Electrolux I believe were effectively the same machine, the Bendix has the soap dispenser in a different place, the the controls bear a resemblance to the other two.

I had one of those Miele dishwashers. It was a G45. It didn't fit in my kitchen because it was wider than a modern dishwasher. I believe it was 67cm wide. I sold it to a guy in Germany who did a full restauration with a lot of Bosch parts. It became his daily driver.

Thanks for sharing!

Taunting again

Paul

Come on up, there is a G45 in my garage. And a Dishmaster - just about. And a SwanMaid ......

Actually I doubt the G45 holds any more than a standard dishwasher (its even wider with the external water softener). The Swanmaid is very closely based on early model US Kitchenaid dishwashers

Paul,

In this thread are pictures of the G45 after restauration by the then new owner. In that thread is also a link to a thread with more detailed pictures from the time it was in my shed.

Swanmaid Dishwasher

Saw the mention of Swanmaid, I have this sales leaflet and manual for the Swanmaid Standard and De Luxe, got a load of technical literature for them and a service manual for a kenwood A1212. WIil scan it all properly another night and share. Chris

Cygnet Seventeen

Also got this brochure with letters for Cygnet dealers back in the day. The letters say ''Manufacturers of Swanmaid Dishwashers' so it would apppear they're related... Hope you can read it. Chris
