Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Hooverette

US and Canadian members may recognise what we knew as the Hooverette as the hoover lark of the early 1960s, although ours always had a handle and the switch is a Dustette slider type on the forward edge of the handle. The funny thing about the picture in reply #25 is that the cleaner has been assembled backwards - the rug/floor nozzle is on the blowing end.

Aside from this howler, I should note that this magazine was absolutely typical of Hoover at the time, they went to great trouble to inform and involve members of their "family" at every level of the organisation - it was not an accident that they were one of the leading, if not the lead supplier of home appliances in the 1960s

you beat me to it! I was about to comment on the upsides down Hooverette.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed all this literature though, thank you so much for posting mr dolomite.

Superbly presented by a very dependable brand owner.

what more could we expect from Hoover who else!!

Just out of curiosity does anyone have a price list of these lovely machines when they went on sale here?
