Well here was another find I couldn't resist today. I used to use a vintage vacuum cleaner for years, a Premier 35, but this is one appliance that can't quite compete with the new ones, so I sold that on ebay. However, this really works well and I am very happy with it. I have found out that it was made between 1946 and 1950, and one just sold on ebay for $50. But any other info would be most appreciated. I have a feeling that the bag isn't original? and the plastic (?) insert in the front light is missing. I would like to cut out a new one from some clear plasic. Has anyone else got this machine? I know some of the folks from the Vintage Vacuum site come over here now and again, but I have never joined over there since I don't have the Premier 35 anymore. Would love to hear from you.

Nice model 28!

Sadly the bag is not original, but it sure looks nice compared to the blue vinyl one thats on mine!

These are some of the best cleaning hoovers I think. They are also so nice running. My 28 is the nicest running, and probably quietest upright I have owned to this date. It just purrs along, and is so musical.

If I were to take one vacuum for its awesome sound only, it would be the 28.

Here is mine along with my other 2 favorite 40s/50s hoovers.

Here is the base of mine. Sorry for the bad pic. This was taken long ago with my old old phone.

The hood does have a crack near the foot switch unfortunately. But the reason I bought this was because the underside is so flawless and mint, it looks new.

Hi,

I remember the Premier that you listed on eBay, someone outbid me on it, if I won it I was planning on picking it up since I'm in the Renton area too.

What is a Premier 35? Judging by the low model numbers, I suspect its early? Those older premiers were neat.
