Thanks for the kind words too, any trip to Mike's is an absolute pleasure. I just find it amazing that so many machines that I thought I would never see again have been so beautifully restored, and talents far greater than mine in that respect. And such a great bunch of guys too.

I did not take many still photos either but hopefully there will be some video coming soon if I can ever get Windows Movie Maker to work with my Sony camera (codec issues HELP!!!)

In the mean time .....

This picture has three rare machines. On the left a Hoover Keymatic, in the centre a Hoover AutoJet dishwasher and on the right a late model Servis 1300. I dont really count the Hoovermatic 3334 in the background as all that rare as they were so solidly constructed that there are stiill quite a few around

Water levels

We debate the pros and cons of high and low water levels but there is no doubt here in this action shot. The keymatic is unusual (unique?) in that it it combines tumbling and pulsator action in one drum. Matthew explained how the machine goes through an initial phase of heating and tumbling while the machine gets up to temperature whereupon teh pulsator action joins in too. I hope video will be up soon so you can see the incredible action and roll over even with just the tumble

Huge thanks

I think all those happy faces show just how great a time we all had this weekend, thanks especially to Mike for hosting the party once again, thanks for the great food and Al, can't wait for the next afternoon tea.

But also thanks to everyone for being such fun, if laughter is the best medicine, why does it leave us with such withdrawl symptons lol.

Great to see the photos and the videos, looking forward to the next time already.

Garden fork

Al,
I have to come clean on that idea, when I was a boy, being into anything electrical, I remember our elderly neighbour used to run the extension lead through a fork, to hold up over a flower border whilst using the electric mower. By the way lol, it was a qualcast electric panther, and thinking about it they had a hoovermatic as well, could they have been an early influence lol ?

That Keymatic is fantastic! So very Westinghouse slant-front - but with a pulsator! Hope to see a vid of the pulsator washing. The spin really balanced itself nicely, you can see the load riding the drum outward as it picks up speed. So cool.
