Hi everyone complete and utter noob when it comes to the world of vintage..... Anything lol.

I recently became the proud owner of my first tumble dryer, ever!

Now most people when getting house hold appliances buy them new or modern second hand, well not my partner, she gets them for free through "free ads" and when she saw an ad for a tumble dryer she was all over it like ants on sugar.

A quick trip up the road (yes it was that close) we became the proud owners of a 1701

Although I could do without another project in my life I want to restore it to it's former glory, any advise on doing it and obtaining parts would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the long winded post.

Karl :)

good dryer there, I'm sure it'll look as good as new soon, and working out the date code, it was made in February 1975 lol, it could do with a lick of paint and spares should still be available, so it shouldn't take too much work 2 get it looking good again :)

Hotpoint Liberator De Luxe 1851-03

You can’t beat a bit of purple, easy to work on and as I can see you like doing up cars so that will help with spraying the cabinet.

I have the washer from the same year, 1851-03
