Hi

I'm trying to find out a hotpoint toploader model that my nan had
It was if the new generation era but it had the old ITCL codes used on it(1-7) I know the codes changed in 1987 and push in buttons as opposed to the rocker style ones. It was white with an almond fascia and the buttons were heavy soil, economy, half load, gentle action, slow spin, rinse hold

If it had Economy Wash as a push button option it would have been the 9605 - the final version that ran from 1989 til around 1997. The programme selector used the HLCC 1-7 codes but the newer ITCL codes were printed next to the old codes on the fascia on all but the earliest versions of the 9605.

There are quite a few pictures in the archives here - type 9605 into the Search bar on the forum home page and you'll find many a reference.

I've linked a good thread on Hotpoint laundry below which covers the top loaders among other machines.

No it didn't have any new ITCL codes the symbols written on the fascia
It had codes 1-7 in the white wash tubs with code 6 in red as it was the quick wash

In that case, my guess is that it would have been an early 9605, possibly with a replacement dial. As far as I know - going on a brochure image I have - the early 9605s had the HLCC washtub symbols in red font on the programme guide and dial; number 6 might have been framed with a Q instead of a tub symbol to denote its "quick wash" status.

When they started dual-coding the fasica programme guide, the tub symbols on the dial became white (or rather cream).

No nan never the dial replaced
She did but it from SWEB shop in Penzance maybe it was a SWEB only model
Deffo didn't have Q on it just 6 in cream which she used all the time expect prog 1
