Never understood Bunn
I had one briefly, and have used food-service ones.
The problem with Bunn is that no matter what kind of coffee you put in it, it always comes out tasting about the same.
I prefer a cone filter. Classic Braun Aromaster is my machine of choice because it's simple, gets the job done in the least amount of counter space. I had a vintage german-made white one for about 15 years, which I got used in a thrift store for $8. It died and was replaced with a cheapened version that lasted about 5 years. Krups should be renamed "Krap". That one lasted about 13 months.
So now I am happily back to a black 10-cup Braun, which is a newer cheaper Made in China version, but it makes decent coffee, I like how they look and operate, and it was free to me.
I have also had small 4cup models on my desk at work. Basically, I would never used anything with a basket filter anymore, cone is better for me.
