How Khewl Is This Frigidaire Oven?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Oh, Philip - what's not to love? They remind me of the old Blodgett convection ovens that used to be in every commercial kitchen, and the fun little mechanism whereby you open one door and the other door opens with it provides hours of fun for children of all ages!

My best friends parent's house had one of these. I thought it had so much more pizazz than the standard pull down oven door like we had.

But to each his own...

It's ok...

but it's not for me, though. And, where's the glass window so you can see what's baking?

I just think it strange, unless you could not have something below take the door for the total oven, why have it split in two, unless it were two ovens you were protecting. Just seems a little Rube Goldberg design to me.

Where do you lean the pans when checking the food if not on

I have seen electric ovens like this (and a Flair-style) over a two-door gas wall-oven. They are useful for the height challenged, in that the open door is out of the way.

~I have to be honest and think it is a pretty stupid design, but that's just me.

Interesting, classic, old, but not necessarily practical. I think this is typical of the aging process.... (ducks and runs).

A+ for creativity. But as I'm sure they found, it is dangerous

When you open the doors you have to make sure your arms are within a certain distance from the doors. narrow ... or you'd get burnt.
