how long to wear jeans before washing them

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Depends on what you're doing I guess. I'm out of work because of an accident so for me I'd wear my clothes or my outer pants two times. If they're not dirty why not ? If anything my clothes probably get washed out more than worn out.

I've been retired for 4 years after the job of 37 years was taken away.  I often wear jeans 4 days to even two weeks, depending on the circumstances.  Winter season, no sweating, no yard work, no food spills, sitting at the computer or on the sofa watching TV ... they don't get "dirty."  Or cargo shorts in the summer several days under the same circumstances.  I wear the worn jeans with frayed cuffs and faded knees for daily at-home, no one sees me, no one cares.  Switch to better pairs for store runs, appointments and such, they don't get dirty in those brief excursions.  I have separate ragged-out shirts and jeans or shorts for yard work.

Ditto here too Glenn  although I’ve now been retired for 19.5 years.  I wear my jeans for 1 to 2 weeks at a time.  When you’re retired you don’t tend to get as dirty as when you’re working.  Plus, as you get older you don’t perspire as heavily.

I do however apply underarm deodorant daily and change my underwear daily.  Since I hardly perspire  at all anymore I can shower every other day instead of daily.

During winter when I'm not doing much out of the house I wear my jeans two days and sometimes three. Like I said, just hanging out trying to stay warm they don't get dirty. I wear jeans shorts in summer and they get washed after each wearing.

AquaSmart LCD-model with a range of specialized cycles runs a gentle agitation profile and higher fill on the Jeans cycle which probably is aimed to reduce tangling.  Spin is high (1,010 RPM).  It's hard-coded for cold temp to reduce dye bleeding, which I don't like so if I use that cycle I typically run it on the machine in the bathroom connected to the tub faucet so I can get a warmer inflow, usually 95°F to 100°F, by adjusting the tankless.

AeroSmart LCD dryer has a Jeans selection with subchoices for Workwear (high heat) or Fashion (medium heat), both with wrinkle guard enabled.

I'm in the habit of wearing something one day for at least nine-to-ten-hours or more...

I'm down to three pairs of jeans that are a medium-light shade of blue & the only three with no holes, rips or tears...

So there's a reluctance right now after I seemingly just wore to wash right away until they're needed knowing they will just go in the washer and cycle back again, as they sit in their pile ready to clothe me in what's a diminishing amount of what I have left now to wear...

Since I usually wear my jeans to work in an office job, I’ll wear them the whole week. If they get a little wet or dirty from a rainy day or if I’m doing dirty stuff in the lab, then they’ll go to the hamper, or I’ll save to the side for other dirty things that week.

I typically wear jeans twice and then wash them.

But they only really need refreshing, so I give them a short, gentle wash in warm water.  In a TL, I wash them for about 6 minutes using slow agitation.  In an FL, I use the express cycle for a wash time of 10 minutes plus rinses.

I give my t-shirts and other clothes a stronger wash.  Gym gear and underwear gets a much stronger wash.  Kitchen towel and cloths get nuked.

Quite a bit

Generally I do not wash mine until they are visibly soiled, was in a dirty location, or have some odor from some, food, etc. However, in the winter I only wear jeans maybe twice for a few hours, so I can get away with a longer period of time between washes. Generally washed on cold and dried on low, though lighter jeans are washed on warm.

Usually I wear them 3-4 days all seasons unless they get visibly dirty then I change them immediately of course.

For me the length of an acceptable "wear cycle" of clothes stands and falls with how clean they are to beginn with.
When travelling with a small carry on bag only I might wear them even longer and wouldn't notice any offensive odors.

Needless to say just freshening up in cold water is never going to happen.
My jeans are washed very thoroughly like all other clothes too but not excessivly often.
Not sure if frequent gentle washings or not so frequent agressive washings make them last longer at the end of the day.
