That was interesting, and seemed pretty logical. But I can't imagine not washing jeans for months at a time.

I know seriously! Interesting video. On things that don't touch my nasty bits, I do the smell test. lol. I like my clothes smelling fresh so I wash them often.

Simple:

Wash them when they are visibly dirty, or have been worn in situations that are likely to capture odors (sweating or "windy" situations come to mind). Typically, I'd say no more than 2-3 days at best in Summer, maybe a tad more in winter. 

 

If working out in the heat, then new clothes each day is very important if you value your customers and coworker's. Its called respect. 

 

As for sheets, towels, tea-towels and so on, then before they are stained badly or have become smelly. This is extremely variable depending on the use

Well was in the cafeteria at work when this woman sits down next to me. I speak as I find so I said "what is that terrible smell"? She said it was "Ma Griffe", I said "well it wants washing".
