If anyone thinks the head of GE calls the head of NBC and says "don't do that", then you should think again...it doesn't work that way.

Oh, but I am practically sure that Jeffrey (Inmelt, head of GE) did give NBC a call. Some of what Dennis would have to say are things that GE doesn't like. GE make jet engines (In Cleveland, Dennis territory) that are used in aircraft in the Iraq war. They also make other war products. What happens when you end the war? You don't need as many engines. GE also builds nuclear power stations. In Nevada, some people oppose the nuclear waste burial site inside Yucca Mountain, also Dennis generally opposes nuclear power. GE needs Yucca Mountain in order to build power plants. So having Dennis on the debate may mean their business can suffer. Now, we can't let that happen can we? It's not the American way!
