So you've got a dishwasher you describe as "I have a 'free' dishwasher" and "other than some scuffing on the main front panel, it looks new...!".

If it was me in your situation I would tell the seller the current situation with the machine and offer some money back.

That seems fair to me as you have got a lovely machine you are obviously planning to use.

Sorry might not be a popular thing to suggest, but its prehaps the right thing to do, please consider this line of thought. . .
