I have no idea other than all vintage clothing is a highly collectible pastime. On a side note a few days ago I saw a bit of a tv program where old Jeans especially Levis are in huge demand over in Japan, the older the better and they can sell for thousands of dollars, rips and tears and all. Collectors there just collect them and display them, don't wear them or anything.
Looks like a diaper, would never wear it, except maybe at 90
Honestly, Dear, it may have something to do with the ever-expanding and pricey market of fetish items for the acceleratingly diversified porn industry. Saw a few minutes about this topic on HBO the other night. Startling! I'll be sticking with washers, Thanks!!!;'D
When I was a kid, in the early 1950's, I remember some men wearing short, one-piece underwear like those on the link. My grandfather was one of them. I always wondered why they preferred them to newer styles.
Either a fetish, a historical research or authenticity thing or a very fond memory of a dearly departed realative, huband, son or maybe a romantic memory.
I think it's a novelty more than anything else or re-living a childhood memory is more like it!
Onezies for adults on Halloween is more like it....
Eeeew
There is a wonderful German word for this type of underwear: Lusttöter, 'desire-killer'.
I'm back in Germany, what a difference to look at the ads at the train stations here and compare them to the very sober and politically correct ads you see in the US. There's one for Levi's 501s up right now which leaves no doubt about dressing and, er, equipping: none of the models are wearing anything under those jeans. Have to see if I can find a pic to post.
Luscious!
