Never used an Apple Product in my life

This is ONLY because I started using windows in 1995 and just stayed there using that. I did not want to learn a new system. My phone is Samsung Galaxy Android. I know people that LOVE Apple though.

I will chime in in Linux. A year or so ago I wanted to look into Linux but I stopped because when I went to check the programs I use (I went to their download sites) and almost all of them (Under the downloads section) said choose your operating system and there was NO Linux, only Mac or Windows. That was it. So if I had Linux, I couldn't use most of my favorite programs.

I'm not well-versed in this as my computing needs are very simple. However, my understanding is that most Windows programs have Linux counterparts that have (of course) different names.

 

The question is whether you need a specific Windows program or if you need a program that will do the same job as the Windows program. If it's the former, you'll likely need to stay with Windows. If it's the latter, there's likely a Linux counterpart.
