I need help guys, GE stove help,

I was gifted a really nice one owner J-346 30 inch range, as usual the sensi temp does not work, every thing else is perfect, even the clock, anyway, some jackleg repairman put a new 3 coil unit on, but just tied the sensi temp sensor leads together thinking it was like a infinite heat switch, of course you get wide open or off, i was going to install a infinite heat switch, i cant figure out how to wire it up, the problem is the responder is wired to the left rear pushbutton switch so when you push the grill position it interlocks the two, what do i need to do,

It Is fairly easy

You can replace the responder with an infinite switch, you leave the push-button alone, the IS will still control both elements when you push grill.

 

GE sold kits to do this.

I know it can be done, and it does have the wiring diagram, but im lost on what goes to what
