I don't know if the planets are aligned in a particular position or what, but this seems to have been a banner week for AWO members finding amazing machines!
Robert's Apex , Ben's DuoMatic, Pete's Roto-Rack, Kevin's Maytag washer and KA dishwasher and the Westy Laundromat for me!
I think this has to be proof positive that there are still plenty of good machines out there if you're willing to look for 'em!!

Sometimes God just throws a big beaming smile in your direction! I won a Compact canister vacuum set on eBay for a song this week too! I said a little prayer for it, and SOMEONE sure listened!

I wonder if the current economic conditions are having an influence... People may be suddenly motivated to start selling off their 'excess baggage' for whatever they can get.
Here's hoping that I find a 1959 GE Filter-Flo washer in turquoise at the Sally Ann tonight... Well, a fella can dream, right? lol

my wish list

the only other things on my wish list are 2 items. an impeller dishwasher (never seen one in action) and (a really big wish here) a frigidaire jet action washer. my aunt that raised me had a frigidaire rapidry 1000 and i absolutely loved it! i always volunteered to do our laundry!

I hope to God you're right, Paul!

I'm in negotiations with a customer of mine for one of my wishlist items as we speak! I found it by accident and no one else here locally knows of it's existence! I hope to bag it and post pictures as soon as this weekend! I hope some of this good luck rubs off on me...

Planets are aligned...

Paul, I too found one of my dream machines - a G.E. FilterFlo washer. It's a late 70's to early 80's machine - model WWA8350GELAD, serial RD153414G. Can someone decode the date on this for me? Not as old as what I had hoped to fine. I've been wanting one with the Mini-basket option. This machine doesn't have a mini-basket, but I have a mini-basket in the basement waiting for the machine to come home later this afternoon. Mike

thanks "everything gold"

you're kidding? i will e mail you tonite when i get home from home depot (where i work) about that impeller machine you mentioned to me. this must be national "appliance dream week" or something.

Now Jamie can stop bugging me for mine! (ducks and runs)

LOL

Congratulations everyone. I sincerely hope we have an east coast wash-in. Looks like it'll be a great year.

Dave
