Jason that was really neat, Thanks for sharing. Made me realize I should watch Brokeback again! Terry

Harry Potter fandom

Yeah, you should see the crazy stuff they come up with, including countless possibilities for gay and str8 relationship pairings. Some fanfics even reaching NC-17 levels. Cedric/Harry is tame compared to say, oh, Lucius/Harry, and dare I say someone speculated about Voldemort/Ginny... Umm.. yeah.

I take it all with a grain of salt and take it as JK writes it. There is very little romance in the HP series but some. Excluding the known married couples (parents, etc.), there's Harry/Cho, Cedric/Cho, Harry/Ginny, Bill/Fleur, Tonks/Lupin, just a few I can name right now. I don't believe a word of the speculated stuff (like Harry/Ron, etc.) until I hear it from the Horse's mouth.

Oops, I hijacked my own thread.

Jason, you and me, both! I've been at YouTube ALL MORNING (it's just past noon in MN) watching videos of punk/post-punk bands from the late 70's-80's. I can't BELIEVE all the rare stuff that's been uploaded there.

It's absolutely addictive. See you back at YouTube, LOL!

i love you tube!!!!

Major addict here! I LOVE the Supremes and there are tons of clips from the Ed Sullivan show, Hullabaloo, American Bandstand etc. I also am catching up on all the cool 80's videos that were popular when i was in high school/college. Bands like Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet. Back to You Tube!!

YouTube is awesome and VERY addictive. I spend hours watching classic music video clips as well as other fun stuff.

One of these days, I'll download the drivers and buy the USB cable so I can put my own (washer) videos up...LOL.

Knowing how the movie studios are about protecting their intellectual propery, I'm very surprised they don't throw a hissy-fit about all these clips! Maybe they're liking the free publicity, but in some cases even that seems unlikely.

Glenn-- Funny you should mention that; A couple of rockers have apparantly complained about their copyrighted videos showing up on YouTube which has led to the uploaders accounts being frozen and all their uploads to be removed. I have the feeling this is going to be a repeat of the Napster debacle. Watch 'em while they're free and still here, everyone! That Teenage Jesus And The Jerks vid may be gone before you know it.

For a while, some clips of The Byrds on Ed Sullivan would be up for a couple of days, and then taken down due to containing copyrighted material or some sort. The sound quality really wasn't as great as other videos, but was very much worth watching. It seems now that YouTube is keeping them up...YAY!

Finally went there

and OMG! I found 80's music videos including Vanity and Scritti Pollitti, I can't stop!

You Tube addict

I'm in the same category. I love the intros to the old tv shows...Mission Impossible, Hawaii 5-0 and even Mannix. Nothing beats Dusty Springfield singing "Song of a Preacher Man" or Bobbie Gentry singing "Ode to Billy Joe". I also found an old Chrysler Cordoba commercial...."Rich Corinthian Leather!"

More You Tube!

Check out Dusty Springfield in "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself" ,Julie London "Daddy" and "Cry Me A River" and the 9 minute Supremes "Tribute To Florence Ballard" for all you Supremes fans! Plus 80's music videos by Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet! Good God, could I be any more lavender?

I would have to say the trailer to Brokeback has been parodied more than any other. There's also a He-man and the Masters Of The Universe done to the same soundtrack.
