Identification challenge....

Ok folks. First off this comes with no pics to go by, so I don't expect miracles. A friend of a friend just got a very nice looking (so I'm told) vintage Philco refrigerator (Model SMR6, Serial # 445181) as a freebie. It has the small interior freezer compartment over to the left side and the stamped "branches" emblem in the door. It has a round knob on the storage compartment down at the bottom front and a simple horizontal chrome handle on the door. That's all I have to go on, but said that I'd toss it out there and see if anyone might have some sort of date range for this. They didn't expect to get this as they had gone to a flea market up in PA and the owner said it was free to anyone who wanted it. Didn't take a camera along so that is why there are no pics.

Any ideas?

I found this from 1941. Lots of OCR errors. Also no clue what The Jewish Criterion is, imo probably not a product line lol:
