With IFA starting this Friday (5th September), I thought I would start a thread, so we can showcase all the new Home Appliances.
Please add to it with all other machines/appliances you see and have info for?

I will start with the new Miele W1 XL Tronic washing machine, Remember the Supertronic? Well this machine is based on it (just in the W1 design), with a touch screen display, featuring Powerwash2.0, Twin Dos system, and smart Phone Capability. Part of the new Miele Smart Home range, based on previous Miele@home.

Next Up:
The Siemens "Transparent" Dishwasher. Basically a Dishwasher that features smartphone compatibilty, and is the most packed featured model Siemens dishwasher yet, with a massive range of programmes and options, two colour displays and 14 place settings.

Finally from Me:
The new control ring from Bosch, a Hightlight from Bosch at IFA this year.
Massively improved controls on the oven. Could it feature the same new innovation that Siemens (in Pic 5) are launching - the Speed Perfect? Which apparently cooks with the same results, no burning, no frozen parts as normal oven, just in half the time, when option enabled. I guess we'll see!

Washing under an hour:
Not sure if its as standard, or if like most others theres a speed/quick button.
But Lg claim their latest Series 5 washing machine, debuting at IFA can wash cottons/cottons large, mix, easy care cycles in just 1 hour, freeing time to spend with family. If its as standard, then great, but my guess is it's like any other requiring a speed button to be pressed.

You're coming from Australia?!? And I thought I had a long way to travel... I'll be going on Monday - most likely - when most of the rush from the weekend has died down. IFA is very cool. It's like washer-wonderland.

I recently purchased the LG F14U1TBS2 washing machine. The machine has Turbo Wash which takes just under 1 hour, you can add 1 extra rinse making the cycle a little bit longer. You have a choice of normal wash, intensive or turbo wash for each cycle.

I have not tried the turbo wash feature yet, but will be washing on Saturday and will wash the bedding on turbo wash, so will keep you posted on the performance

I think these new Bosch/Siemens ovens with varioSpeed are basically just regular ovens with a built-in microwave. Miele sells just that and calls it a Combination Oven in Europe... but a Speed Oven in the US.

IFA is really great, not only the appliance-section. Last year I've been there and boy, watching 3D on an 8K 80" flat screen is impressive.
But both Miele and Panasonic look nice. Are these Panasonics to be sold as Gorenje as well, or how can I imagine the splitted sell?

I like the look of these washers as long as I don't have to see those curved designs on the side. That is driving me nuts every time I look at it. What's wrong with a plain flat panel on the side? Nitpicking I know, but it is something significant enough that it would make me think more than 5 times whether I want to see this in my house for the next several years.

Yes, Adam. Panasonic bought a share in Gorenje (about 12-15% I think) and have a long term strategic alliance planned with shared R&D and production for laundry, refrigeration and cooking appliances.

New Siemens / Bosch Washers & Dryers (IFA 2014)

Fantastic new look Bosch Logixx/IQ700 machines have launched (so the range below the Home Professional washers/TOL models).

They all feature Eco Silence/IQ Drive, and all come in at A+++-30% Energy.
I think they'll be affordable too.
Another new drum has been added - this time a 65l Wave Drum (Meaning the Opti-wave is now exclusive to the Home Pro/IQ800 ranges). (The 58l/62l Wave drum is staying for the lower ranges).
