He's been there a whopping 63 years!

Holy cow! What a career to be working for same place all his adult life!

I'm certainly impressed

Other articles state he missed 3 days in 63 years. Puts the rest of us to shame for sure.

One thing, I'm proud of my SQ for not just the way it performs, but knowing that 1300+ hard working americans had a hand in building it, well, I just feel really good knowing I helped keep them employed.

The machines were not cheap by a long shot, but as Rolls Royce once stated, "the quality remains long after the price is forgotten".

What an awesome fella.
I wonder if he knows about the Automaticwasher.org?
It would be cool to pick his brain about his life with Speed Queen!

Love to have him here.

Dad spent his entire working life with Westinghouse as sales engineer. Mostly apparatus (distribution infrastructure-- transformers, switchgear) and lastly nuclear (though in fact he cancelled more sales than he made due to 3 Mile Island).

I wonder if he

was involved with the build/assembly of the Arc-Cuate or the fluid drive?

SQ should line up an interview of sorts along with any notes or pics to capture a career that saw some redesigns, corporate buyouts, etc.
