Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Yes. The yellow is the kitchen. The living room, bathroom, and bedrooms are all the same. I almost tried to have a pink 50s bathroom with tile on the wall but couldn't because of budget (yeah, what's that?).

Thanks.

PeteK, that's the power for the range hood.

Bob, yes, very fun and relaxing hues. A perfect happy place for a Belt Drive Kenmore and an Oasis set.

To contrast the kitchen, everything in the living room will have a "modern" type decor. Flat panel TV, Black and silver tv/stereo stand, etc.

Living room: modern, maybe an 80s turntable can live there.
Kitchen: 50s
Laundry room: 70s.
Bedroom: I'll never tell!

What's goin' on the floors, BTW?

Said: Love the colors, a yellow kitchen is always cheerful and bright!

Response: => LOVE IT! Here in gas-cooking-land, kitchens are frequently painted yellow since they will end up that way due to the yukkies that a gas stove produces.

Jason, did you opt for a conventional storage-type hot water heater or a new-fangled instantaneous type like Glenn/Dadoes has?

I have a regular hot water tank. If it becomes a problem, I'll get a continuous one (or whatever it's called).

The floors aren't going to be spectacular because of budget reasons. I was hoping for black and white checkerboard and red shag carpet, but it will just be plain old Linoleum :-( . So when you come over, don't look down LOL.

Power for the Dishwasher?

If the sink goes where it looks like it goes under the window in the yellow room, how does the dishwasher get its power? I don't see an outlet in the vacinity of the sink down below. In Chicago it was common to have a separate trap (new construction) for the dishwasher. That was nice because you didn't hear the dishwasher draining through the sink. If you had a really quiet dishwasher you wouldn't even know it was running.

Hmmm good point

I really don't know. I see power outlets for the stove and the microhood but nothin for the DW. Might have to call the builder to find out. The garbage disposal doesn't seem to have anywhere to go either.

Looking good Jason!

I LOVE that green. It's a very popular shade nowadays.

Hint: Put some red in that bedroom Jason...for that firecracker Scorpio you're fixin to marry ;-)

Nice Green Vibes Washateria

Perfect for soothing machine and Magnavox sounds.

I forgot if you mentioned in previous thrd, is your
fire place wood burning or gas; either way, a nice
feature.

Fireplace.

The fireplace is gas. NO natural gas here (unless I eat beans) so it will connect to a propane tank outside of the house. Makes it easy to turn it on when I'm getting turn on.

It's one of those BBQ pit type burners where you turn on the gas and push the button to light it. I would love electronic start and a thermostat for it but too expensive. Maybe later I'll upgrade it.

In my neck of the woods, DW-ers are hard-wired in. In other words, the power cable goes right to the machine; no flex-power cord.

I would be leery of glued down linoleum. What till you do when time to replace? Can you wait and go ceramic tile, instead? Even cheap carpeting will do for now, no?
