In search of Maytag Porta-Washer Model A50 Service Manual

I could sure use help with my a50 Maytag. I washed one load it worked great, and then I accidentally left the water running And overflowed the machine while it was on spin. Now the machine will not spin and there's a little bit of water in the water pump. Belts are fine, I love this machine anybody can you tell me what's wrong? Do I have to replace the water pump as it does not pump out and the machine no longer spins although the belt is fine

I just got an A50 and I accidently overfilled it on the second wash. It worked great on the first wash, now the spinner will not spin and it doesn't empty. I checked belts and they are fine . Impellers move when started. What in the sam hill did I do to this beauty, and how do I fix it now that I am in love with it?

I owned one of these wonderful A50’s from ‘76 thru ‘81 and I never had this problem. But I do have one suggestion. Have you tried just putting the rubber disk in the spinner and closing the lid to see if the spinner will operate without any water in it? Maybe that will get to operate properly again? If not, then I’m at a loss at what to do next. But I’m sure some other member may have a solution for you. Whatever you do, hang onto this little gem until you can find someone that can repair it for you. IMHO the Maytag A50 is absolutely the best portable washer for an apartment dweller.
