My only question to you guys, is the online videos do not show you applying sealer to the bottom (outside) of the tub where the bearing goes thru. Rather they have you clean it with alcohol and stick it in. The sealer only goes on the interior of the tub.

Why would you not want to put it on the outside as well, in case a minor leak develops? This way no water could get out.....

If you have a leak at the seal, or the inside of the tub, AND you have it sealed underneath, it will force the water into the transmission, instead of out onto "neutral" space.
