Update. I let go of this machine with a few others that were past fixing. I don’t have any room to spare right now, or probably ever at this rate, so bye bye. Two DD’s (the Imperial included) went to a guy hoping to make one. He thanked me for the machines by also taking a bunch of scrap metal that had to go as well. All in he filled his pickup and we were both happy campers.
Combo52 was right, it was too rusty to justify resurrecting. I did buy a new wash basket for it, but I just found a nice condition DD Kenmore solely in in need of a basket. Looks new compared to this Imperial. That project makes more sense, coming soon to a thread near you.
I bothered to do this update because threads on AW that end mid way drive me nuts!
