Hello everyone,
Its been a crazy week!!!!! It started off with me trying to get a $200 Miele Futura Diamond dishwasher out of Dallas. The guy sold it before I could get there but while searching my local area, I found a Futura Crystal which had a "vibration" I immediately knew it was the motor frozen to the seal. Instead of fighting with a fork or miele tool to turn the motor, I decided to just remove it and turn it by hand. Not only was it frozen to the seal but I also found a Diamond ring in the sump. While installing it, I managed to find all the original paperwork to the Kitchen Aid KDS-18 dishwasher and Kitchen Aid trash compactor that were originally installed with my house. Sad both were long gone before I got here. I have the owners manuals, brochures, original Kitchen Aid "Important Papers" envelope, and original warranty cards if anyone would like pics of them I can scan. I know I'm rambling but just wanted to share the good news.

I hear you asko!!!! I wish I could have gotten that futura Diamond but Dallas is a 6hr drive. But hey this Futura Crystal was FREE!!!!

Miele DWs

Are interesting machines, but many customers get rid of them at the first repair because of cost of repair.

I also hear from many that are unhappy with the crappy rack design that hold little and allows items to easily fall through the lower rack.

If anyone in this area wants a Miele to play with I see several on the recycle pile every month, Jason restored one the other year that was just 4 years old and after using it for several months in his house he went pack to a standard Power Clean WP DW, he was tired with the crappy racks and a smelly DW and dishes that never really got dry.

Combo if you run across any let me know!!! Ill grab it when I come home to Frederick, MD for the holidays. It would be a great present to myself

Mieles rack design

The lower rack with the MultiComfort area is really a love&#92hate thing. With european dishware and people who run tons of differently mixed loads, with some getting used to, it can be really good.
If your dishes don't fit the slits in the back or you can't get your head around the loading system, they really suck.

And yeah, Miele repairs are expensive, that is well known.
