The Alnico magnetic doors appeared as early as 1951 and then they seemed to disappear for a couple of years (I wonder if there was some kind of quality problem that caused this) and then came back to stay in 1956...PAT COFFEY
 
I hate to say, I don't remember if it was white or coppe

or two tone! I remember it was definitely a GE, and perhaps it had the swing out shelves, I remember they at least did come out of the interior. I wish I could say more, I'm also pretty sure it hinged from the right too. Doesn't give many clues at all!

General Electric

I love old General Electric appliances, they are truly a testimony of how much better things were built then, than they are today. Good luck with your new General Electric "frigidaire" LOL.
