Introducing the 66 Lady Kenmores

A few weeks ago, Dan (QSD_DAN) found a listing on C/L for a washer/dryer set and shared it with me. Well, after seeing them, I decided that I would bring them home. He was kind enough to pick them up and store them for me until we could meet to exchange. I am grateful that he helped me out despite the fact that two Kenmores sitting amongst his Maytags was causing a disturbance in the force... LOL!

After trying to schedule a meet up while dealing with the changing weather in the Sierras, we finally got a open window and away we went, meeting at Auburn, CA. Auburn is turning into quite the area for appliance exchanges... Jacqui and I drove up in Sue with a couple of presents for Dan...

We met Dan and caught a quick bite at In and Out then decided to find a parking lot to do the exchange. It seemed funny to do this in front of the Sears store...

The washer did not disappoint. This set was Grandma's and was supposed to work great. The coppertone paint is in fantastic shape!

Anyone who owns or fixes WP/KM dryers knows about heater burn where the paint on the rear cover is at least discolored if not outright burned. When's the last time you saw this?
