Anyone else experiencing trouble uploading photos using iOS 8 and an iPad?

I've had to e-mail photos (from the iPad2) to myself and use an iMac to upload successfully to AW.

The upload stops as shown below, always at 1%. The little "processing" wheel in the upper left corner of the screen continues to spin, but...no action. The lockup happens when using either of the methods provided (the old "Choose File" button or the new "Add Photos Here" box).

Paging Robert Seeger....come in Robert.

Hi Eugene, it appears to be a bug in Safari for IOS 8 itself, and Apple will have to fix it, this is completely out of my control...

ps. You would think Apple would have tested such an important feature on their main mobile browser. I will not be upgrading until they have that fixed, hmmmmph!

Thanks for the info, Robert, and I am also surprised that Apple, the first to scoff at glitches in new software from other companies, would allow such a gaff to get past them.

Andy, I have Chrome loaded on the iPad but have always used Safari from force of habit. I'll give it a try.[this post was last edited: 9/21/2014-14:13]

So its not just me then...it also has issues uploading to Facebook as well, iOS 8 that is. Robert is right, its an Apple issue. Its kinda maddening though so now I take a pic wth my camera and upload to my my Mac and then post. It is much more convienent just taking the pic on the iPad and post though....I will make due until it is fixed...I feel your pain Eugene...lol

"The Safari upload file bug STILL has not been fixed as of yet and Apple has completely screwed up an attempted update today..."

Is it just me, or is Apple starting to get pumped out of the washer? (Instead of "down the toilet")

Considering, as mentioned above, that Apple ALWAYS criticised everyone else for 'stealing their design,' and 'being buggy, unstable and insecure,' I find this a lovely little bit of payback for them. For the rest of us, its just annoying.

I was very happy with my Macbook Pro until last year, when the trackpad stopped fully depressing to click (a widely reported problem), and the 'T" key started popping off frequently. As of yet, I haven't bothered to fix either, largely because the former issue seems intermittent, at best...
Mac OS "Mavericks" was also a FLOP for my Macbook. Its a Late-2011 model, bought in Late-2011. Mavericks proceeded to completely hog my memory, even after I upgraded to 8GB (and even after several MAJOR updates). The machine was slow, unresponsive even for the most mediocre tasks. "App Cache" is a complete joke - While I was using 8GB, all the memory compression and swapping taking place represents a huge slowdown that takes place.

I downgraded to Mountain Lion, which is almost unsupported. I now have the spirited performance of before, without all my 8GB of memory being used up, continuously, whether all my programs are open or not. And I won't be upgrading to their new OS whenever that is released. I deplore the move to unify iOS and Mac OS. I want an interface that works, not one that just looks good (Yes, I'm also talking to YOU Windows 8!)

In summary, I won't be buying more Apple products. I used to like their stuff, but the gouging and slow removal of features (DVD drives, Ethernet, Firewire) is making it less worthwhile to buy products that still cost JUST as much as before these features were removed.
*Rant Mode Off*

There, thats better :)

Apple are starting to get right on my tits now. They don't seem to test anything any more just release it seems we are the guinea pigs :(

Same issue on iPhone.

Agreed.

I will rue the day my iPhone 3GS is no longer usable. Its great now - good battery life and support for what I do - which isn't social media, just a few emails, messages and calls!
