Rather than being a robot, it's a remote controlled device.
Here is an overview of the Looj...
It does work VERY well if the following conditions exist:
You have at least 2.5 inches clearance between the bottom of the gutter hanger bars and the bottom of your gutter. Any less than that and the Looj will hang up.
It does flip everything out of the gutter big time. And it does it with a lot of force. You have a choice as to which direction you can flip the debris. You should also wear safety glasses when using the Looj so you don't get any debris in your eye. As for debris on the ground, just mow the lawn after you clean the gutter, not a problem.
For debris that contains mud and really packed down leaves multiple passes will be needed in that area until it is clear.
While it is great at clearing out pine cones, leaves, etc. it does have a hard time getting rid of shingle grit at the bottom of the gutter. I found that just rinsing the gutter out with water after you use the Looj to get rid of the leaves and sticks will flush that stuff out.
We had gutters that were so full of debris, they were smoking from the composting action! The Looj made short work of them and within an hour or two our gutters were spotless.
But I have to say it is nice to stay on the ground with the Looj remote control in hand watching it work.
BTW, that is a nice price for this item. I paid $99.95 for ours and I felt it would have been a better deal at $79.95.
