Miele's strengths are it's portablility and of course the longer (or is that wider?) roller.

However as one who owns two "Ironrites" (one portable and a Pfaff which is based on the same design), the open ended design of Ironrite ironers is beats Miele.

Sheets, shirts, table linens, and so forth are much easier on the Ironrite, especially for linens one wishe without a center crease. The two end "points" of an Ironrite work the same as the point of an iron, allowing one to do all sorts of tricky areas such as ruffles with ease.

Many, many commercial laundries had or still use Ironrite ironers. Indeed there was a gas and 220v (sold also under the "Maytag" brand)powered version just for such use.
