Ron, A few years ago, my partner of 25+ years and I separated. We reconciled about 9 months later, with some professional help. Now at 32 years, not counting the separation, we have learned one thing about our relationship: It hasn't always been easy, but it has always been worth it.

Ron,

I've been busy these last days, but kept you in mind. Your anguish and desire for things to work out was very real. I hope you two can now find the love and friendship you want now - not the "warmed over" and, obviously, gone away basis for what didn't work.
It is trivial by comparison, but I have been working with a close friend on finding a new basis for our former friendship. Things are in pieces right now - his suicide attempt left lots of anger - but we have learned to look at what's here now, not 20 years ago, when we first became friends. You cross your fingers for us, I'll keep mine crossed for you.
