Is Everyone OK in the Severe Weather and Flooding

I heard that lots of people were without power after yesterday's winds and then today there have been bad scenes of flooding so I was just checking in in front of the pay wall to wish everyone safety from the rampaging weather.

So far just rain for us

Began falling an hour or so ago. Otherwise yesterday was a beautiful spring like day for NYC. Sunny with warm weather.

Here in Mid MI...

Just heard we either had a tornado or some strong straight line winds, took down tress and such 1/2 mile from me.  I was in the kitchen making dinner and  heard nothing outside of thunder and rain.  Had friends who live in the area severely hit about 20 miles form here and they are ok, but no power.

People reported a funnel cloud about 25 miles SE of here and fences ripped out/trees down. No confirmation whether it was a tornado or not.

Flooding in the Desert?

What about the flooding in Nebraska and other parts of the Midwest? I hope everyone is OK and above the water.

This is the same system that dropped enough hail to create drifts in parts of the SF Bay Area a week ago.

 

Joe, was that picture taken over Presidents Day weekend?   I heard Modernism Week in PS was a washout at that same time.
