Is my dishwasher loaded correctly?

Ok
Last night i made fried chciken brests, mac n chese, corn and apple sauce. Put everything in the hotpoint and used a tab in the open cup and some wal mart brand regular soap in the closed cup. Is this loaded correctly? What would you do to change it? I am giving it a whirl with just the wal amrt branded soap in both cups on the hot start option (vs. the heavy wash option).. I have never had fet on goop on stuff until last night. DO you think this was because i used the heavy wash option (insted of the hot start option?), the way i loaded or? I usualy use the tab and wal mart brand soap in the cup for loads like this, so i know this is not to fault.

Looks good to me.
one thing...

that curvy glass in the front right corner will NOT get clean.
it's falling over and not facing the center spray tower.
here's my rule, and it almost always works.
Tall glasses in the inner rack rows, shorter glasses in the outer rack rows.

Im not sure on american dishwashers , but i would expect the long frying pan spat and spoon to obstruct the upper rack wash arm.

come to mention it , is there a upper wash arm ?

No upper arm.. LoL, i added a blue cup and a gree butter container that some how did not get pictured

There is probably not an upper

wash arm, and if there is, it would be on the ceiling of the tank. If there is anything, it is more likely to be a small "constant rinse" arm than a full-size one with venturis.

Chad, I would say 1) Nicely loaded, and 2) are you guys allergic to green vegetables?Results?

No, this is a BOL Hotpoint. It has no 3rd level constant rinse. Just the poop up tower in the middle of the bottom rack. Hot Start is 'recent" "invention" on these machines. I've seen the cycle sequence that it adds about 3 gallons more water and about 20 or so minutes to the cycle, but I don't know what actually happens in that added 20 to 30 minutes vs. just heavy soil. Personally, id idn't have good luck with Wally World branded dtergent, the box I tried. So I've never bought another one. And personally I odn't like tabs cuz ya can't vary the dosage.

Nothing comes clean at all. Took the trap apart and spray arm off and cleaned both.. Dishwasher is make a much diffrent woosh woosh (deeper and not as loud)

Bad Dishwasher ==>get a Kitchenaid or Kenmore

I had a Hot Point years ago in a rental. Same style with the tower. Had the same problem. Land lords sent the repair people out twice. They never were able to get the machine to work properly. I moved. Now I have Magic Chef in the unit I'm in now. I have had GE and Magic Chef dishwashers with the same design. All are bad machines. I find that if you only load dishes on the bottom rack the lower spray arm will get the upper rack somewhat clean. Large bowls and pans on the bottom rack block the spray to the top rack. I don't think even your bottom spray arm is turning like it should and very doubtfull that the "tower" is erecting like it should. The filtration system in these machines only filers large objects like a steak.

Recomendation: Don't spend anymore time on it or money. Spend your time looking for a new dishwasher (Kitchenaid) and your money on a machine the washes dishes like it is supose to.

I like Kitchenaid. I like the loading features. You don't have to load around the "tower" on the lower rack. They have a good filtration system so you don't have to pre rinse the dishes. Scrape and load. That easy! They come out CLEAN. You do not need top of the line Kitchenaid to get clean dishes. I would pick a model with Sani Cycle. I have also had Kenmore portable dishwasher which is very similar to the Kitchenaid that I was very happy with also. Photo's are of the Kenmore I had. Good machine.

Note the built in dishwasher in the last photo to the right of my portable. It is a GE with "tower" that came with the apartment. Same problems,did not clean dishes.

My old GE

I have a really old GE dishwasher it does a SUPER job. It's a water hog, I use Cascade or Electrasol powder with enzymes amd my water is hot. Mine has the old wide flat lower wash arm and the tower (that sticks up somewhat all of the time--and there's a raised section of rack where you can put small plates). Heated drying only. Whole cycle is done in an hour.

Apartment dishwasher problems

1. Call managment and complain. You can only hope for a new one. (if the machine HAPPENED to flood the place,they will change it out) They don't like water damage.

2. Get a portable dishwasher like I did.

3. Move

Basically - except for the glass in the front right hand corner, I think it is fine.
These machines can and do clean ok, you just have to give them a fighting chance. When I have to use one in the US, I do the following and it works well (all the purists please stop reading here).
1) A pre-rinse is a must.
2) Use the hottest water you can get, even if that means running the tap before hand. Wasteful, unless the water has a use.
3) Use enzymes (Wally Mart, even if I don't like them has a very high enzyme detergent) but NOT with any other detergent. The chlorine bleach in the other detergents kills the enzymes!
4) Add one tablespoon of baking soda to the detergent cup. If it makes a difference, then your water is too hard to wash well without help. There are cheaper water softeners, but since you eat and drink from these things, I'd stay away from them. Work down from the tablespoon until you find what works.
5) The "tower of power" is not that bad, it just doesn't do corners.
6) If the wash cycle is unheated, I have found it helps enormously to reset the timer so it washes twice with the same water. Dishwasher detergents are not like washing machine detergents, they don't lose all their effectiveness after 15 minutes.

Good luck and let us know..oh, and you may be pre-rinsing too well in the sink before hand. There has to be some grease or oil on the plates for the detergents to build "soap" to clean with.
By the way, when is your husband finally going to help around the house? If women want men like that fine, but ladies like us don't have to put up with it. You can't keep those nails pretty and your "do" wavy if you spend all your time on your knees.

I don't let my husband touch things, like the washer, dishwasher, etc.. He messes them up...
Perfect example (and how i missed this littlepiece of tape baffles me)
HE admitted to washing CAR PARTS in this dishwasher.. The pop up spray arm would have gotten in his way, so he taped it down.. Once he relized what a mess he made, he rand several cycles with lcb empty and cleaned it up and took all of the tape off, cept what was covering the top little hole and what was stuck down in there.. I got it fixed.. Also found another older ge rack and am going to experiment with this as well.

Before the politically correct crowd freak, just kidding. Do not try this at home, children. That man will live because he got prompt medical attention.

I shudder to think what goes (on) in the washing machine when you aren't home.

Nothing.. He doesnt do laundry and can't figure out the new washer.. Hasn't touched the new washer at all, and he won't touch the dishwasher again.. He won't tell me what he bathed in there either...
