Is this a reverse rack model ?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

A Great Dishwasher

I sure hope somebody gets it. It's a very good dishwasher, but requires hot water and proper loading knowledge. And get this - it doesn't run for 2 hours.

I have what appears to be the exact unit, purchased last summer in Omaha when Greg led Kelly, Ben and myself thru the Omaha "hot spots" to look for appliances and other items of interest. IIRC Kelly spotted the Maytag at the Habitat store and suggested I get it. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Makes me think about how much I sure do miss Kelly.

I had that model in a portable that i gave away...

Mine did not have the cycle buttons only the dial and as I recall it did not stop to heat the water but I think the element ran during circulation because the water seemed to stay really hot through the cycles.

Washed like crazy and once I got used to how to load it I found it held quite a bit. I espeiclaly like the tines in the back left corner of the top rach. They were spaced far apart and curved to accommodate bowls that would stand straight up. Nice machine!!

Grab it!

Grab it, Phil. It will be your favorite dishwasher. Easiest to load dishwaser I've ever had--very intuitive. Holds more bowls...and gets them cleaner.
The full size spray arm, on the top of the tub, is great as it scrubs the bottoms of my pots/pans, and electric skillet, when placed in the upper rack.

Be prepared for a little noise. Not exactly a quiet machine, but very powerful and built like a Mack truck.

You should definitely grab that DW. It will take a little getting use to since it's a reverse rack model but you will be very pleased at how well it will clean your dishes. When it's running you can definitely hear those wash arms spraying inside that tub as they go around. Just remember that there is a full size wash arm in the top of the machine that works just as hard as the one in the bottom.

Trying For It

Just heard from Verizonbear and he is passing on it, so I have just contacted the seller.

I need another dishwasher like I need a hole in my head, but if I get this I will have two reverse racks that match (well at least match closely) that I could install upstairs in my main kitchen...keep your fingers crossed.....

It may be possible to go overboard with diswashers...

If I get this one, it will be 31.

I can barely navigate through the back part of my basement right now - I have about 25 or so machines randomly scattered about the back area of the basement while the front part is torn apart for the "museum room" construction. And, since I am a complete slack-ass, who knows if I will ever get done. Thus far in 5.5 months I have managed to accomplish is demo of the floor, walls, and ceiling. I have just started cleaning the concrete slab so that it will hopefully accept granite tile without adhesion problems in the future. Never mind the actual walls that have to be built back and sheet-rocked, the plumbing to install, the electrical to install, and everything else.

LOL! 31 dishwashers...the largest dishwasher collection this side of the Rockies? "See Dishwater City" ? Hope you can get more accomplished this year - that's a ton of work. Hope you can get more done this year...and when you get the dishwasher(#31)-we'll look for any photos you might be posting. :-)
