Let's hand it to

Procyon lotor!

If a 'coon can infiltrate that kitchen, I wonder about the structural integrity (or lack thereof,) of the rest of the place!

This looked

more like a pet not a wild 'coon. Did you notice how clean the teeth were? No wild one would come up and reach out to get a treat. This has to be a pet of some sorts which also shows the owner lets it have its way in the house. That's just NASTY. I finally banned my dogs from the kitchen last month because they kept getting into things while I was away. One of my boxers likes to drag pots and pans out and play with them. When he figured out how to open the drawer on the stove that ended it.

Are you kidding? Growing up my family had a vacation cabin, we would routinely buy a few extra loaves of bread to hand-feed a family of wild raccoons who lived nearby. When it comes to food they are *not* the least bit shy around people.

Puhleez,

Rich had a pet "wild" racoon for years. They named it, it had the run of the livingroom, and ate spaghetti regularly (died at about 25# in a plate of it with garlic breath).

If that racoon in the vid was wild and comfortable enough to be near that kitchen as it was, I don't doubt that it would have been comfortable reaching for treats.

Actually, I don't think there's any such thing as a domesticated racoon. They're all wild! I guess it's a matter of how comfortable with humans they get. Same with pidgeons and squirrels at the park, or chipmunks in the yard!
