Were they still tiny babies living in the hole/nest on your lawn when you saw them, Ben? If they were already out and onto the lawn then mom and company may have already moved on. If you don't see mom spending a fair amount of time sitting/guarding on your lawn, then they're probably gone. Sometimes the babies would chill in the shrubbery in front of the house for a few days, but they don't really stay near where they were born. At least not around here. Two neighbors now have dogs who live outside in the summer and there are always a couple of feral cats roaming around so mom gets the family off this block pretty quickly.
