My buddy Rich (Golittlesport) contacted me Friday evening, saying a friend of his has some machines he wants to find a home for. This peaked my interest and I went over this morning to take a look.
They were in the back of the garage pretty much buried with so much stuff that I could only see part of the washer at first. Once we moved the boxes and other stuff out of the way, there she was, WOW!
Even though I have closed the door on collecting (anything new) I've always likes this design. Plus this was like seeing a couple cute little puppies sitting in the corner, looking at me with those puppy dog eyes... and I'm a total sucker for puppy dog eyes! I mean how could I NOT take them home, right??
With a few scratches here, a couple dents there, they are not perfect, but pretty nice overall. He told me the washer leaks when it's spins (drains) but he wasn't sure of the exact cause. I took a quick look up underneath as we loaded it and it looks pretty darn clean. Also it's interesting the washer doesn't seem to have a serial number? (pic 4)
He gave me a LOT of extra stuff too, I was quite surprised. TechTalk manuals, extra bellows, light bulbs, new supply and drain hoses (2), a new power cord for the dryer and even a pair of new appliance covers!
Thank you Gary... and thanks so much for thinking of me Richie!
I present to you the WCD-65 and the DCD-65!
Kevin
