We are putting out the New Kenmore HE5t washer and dryer set. compleet with optional towers, work surfaces, and pedistals. this is the sexiest washer made so go to your local Sears. and check them out. the orange is going a way and the new coler Barolo (red/wine) is here. its going to be a hit!. let me know how you all like the towers and work surfaces. i think they great.

i will post some

im at work now at sears. laundry is my depatmetent. and if you need any questions answered about ge, wp, kenmore or maytag, im your guy. but to answere your question i will get some of the pacific blue and champagne today. ill put the white one out tomorrow. so ill post it by 6 pm et.

Yeah, I'd like to see the pix. And, could you tell us more about the specs of temps, spin speeds, any change in cycles options or "additions"?

I work at Sears too! In the Laundry Department, and cooking, and cleanup, and fridges! The HE5t is really nice, with the audio/visual display, the new barolo red looks almost like the LG's red. According to the literature we got, it has a Hercules Hinge" uses 71% less water, and 70% less energy. where the 4t was somewhere around 64-66%. Those are the biggest differences, that where in the literature... I too will keep everyone posted!

Bobby

Very smart looking cosmetic changes. Love the chrome around the door. And the fabric control dial apears to be more "oasis"-isc as well as the display area is also very nice. Does that say Skincare II rinse? OK, now please let us know what's been changed cycle-wise vs. the 4T And thank you for the pics.

Kidwears is a good cycle for sports clothes. My macho BIL (who thinks the Duet is gay) does a lot of cycling, marathons, rock climbing, and swimming and my sister uses that cycle for his clothes.

Very cool. Does that auto soak actually soak the clothes for 30 minutes or more? Or is it just a prewash? I love the soak cycle on my Frigidaire FL. How long is a "normal" cycle?

peter

I too don't like the smoke glass and will not buy any machine that has it ... Its like they are trying to hide something.

Richie, yes it's a real 30 minute "deep" soak. The "normal" cycle, as displayed, but is really for no iron fabrics, is 50 minutes as shown. Regular cycle is about 60 minutes and includes an auto 2nd rinse.

Water consumption reduced 71% from WHAT? Pretty soon it's going to be a dry cleaner. What's this about an auto 2nd rinse? I always use the Whitest Whites cycle because it gives 3 rinses. The addition of the COOL wash temp is nice.

I was gonna ask that. I'm thinking 71% less than a standard toploader, as compared to the previous being 64% or whatever less than a TL.

Wow, those things are gorgeous! Very stylish for sure, I wouldn't mind having one! I think I see a price as well...looks like $1429 or something.

Nice looking machines for sure, but I'm curious about the 2nd rinse option. Does that mean there is only one rinse after the wash by default and this option adds a second? Or, is it meaning there are usually two "deep" rinses and this option adds another (2nd) between the first and last rinses for a total of 3?

71% less water than a standard top loader (probably in Normal cycle) would put this at about 14-15 gals. of water used?

Well Tom & Greg, I am sorry for the freudian slip. To me, the extra rinse option is stilll teh "2nd" rinse. Yes, that means a 3rd rinse. GOOD GRIEF!!!! I hope there aren't, or at least I won't be aware of, any front loaders that only does a wash & a rinse. YUCK!!!

Size is the same at 3.8cf. The final speed is 1250.

It is 71% less then a conventional top loader where the 4t was 64% less then a conventional top loader

Second rinse, wont add a 2nd deep rinse, but more of a light splashing rinse. It will basically tumble faster then average and shower the clothes with fresh water for about 5 minutes.

IIRC sanitizing is 155f
