Nice looking machines for sure, but I'm curious about the 2nd rinse option. Does that mean there is only one rinse after the wash by default and this option adds a second? Or, is it meaning there are usually two "deep" rinses and this option adds another (2nd) between the first and last rinses for a total of 3?
71% less water than a standard top loader (probably in Normal cycle) would put this at about 14-15 gals. of water used?
Well Tom & Greg, I am sorry for the freudian slip. To me, the extra rinse option is stilll teh "2nd" rinse. Yes, that means a 3rd rinse. GOOD GRIEF!!!! I hope there aren't, or at least I won't be aware of, any front loaders that only does a wash & a rinse. YUCK!!!
Size is the same at 3.8cf. The final speed is 1250.
It is 71% less then a conventional top loader where the 4t was 64% less then a conventional top loader
Second rinse, wont add a 2nd deep rinse, but more of a light splashing rinse. It will basically tumble faster then average and shower the clothes with fresh water for about 5 minutes.

Barolo. the color that will take the laundry world by storm. Sexy aint it? now its hard to tell but its like a wine, marroon color, its more red than the pic so you have to go see it.
Nice machines! Looks like they've gone off the German-style design though towards a Korean theme... tehy look very similar to LG and Samsung machines, not sure if I like it!
i think they have a more clean-cut look to them, sophisticated even. and when you open them the chrome lip stays with the machine. so its door hinge is compleatly hidden.
yesturday the designer of the ge fronloader was in, he's a nice guy. but anyway he was telling me about how he designed the set that is currently out and then i led him to the set up i posted, all the colors were out and his mouth droped. he couldnt walk away and he said Ge could never make a machine that would be that good. he said "Kenmore is kicking our ass" , "its hard to compete with something that looked that good. but i loved his expression. it was priceless.
on the ge side of things. two new versions will be out early next year. one will be a little bigger and the visual layout will be better than the curent one. and then a version without the water heater. at the price we offer the he2 plus set.
Don't love it from an aesthetic standpoint....too much c
That's something you don't hear too often around here..LOL.
It would be nice if these washer manufacturers would start going back to putting some REAL chrome on their wares.
the Ge plant for appliances are here in louisville. and they have had two squads of folks in here gawkin at my he5t's and they are hatin bad on wp. they cant find a thing to gripe about, and they are trimblin in their boots. i love it.
"it has the new shocks designed by whirlpool for the second floor"
I have a laundry room on second floor in a brand new home and have bene eyeing this for a long time. Can anybody elaborate how the new suspension is better for second floor?
