Hi all, well after much hunting for a replacement washer after I sold my Indesit on I decided to hunt for a Dyson. Now these are still much sought after in the UK on the second hand market with them changing hands for upto £500 each on ebay not being unusual. I've not managed to find one in the past in my budget. However I managed to pick one up for £200 from an appliance shop in Birmingham and it is the most amazing machine. I've done my first wash in it and what fun it was. So fast and quiet and that lovely whirring noise as the drums go in opposite directions. i'll do some vids soon but here are some pictures for the moment.

Contra

Hi Steve, nice one there, looking forward to your reviews!!! is it in your kitchen or utility!!!was talking to James about this in depth the other day and interesting how I like the "noise" of a classic machine, and lets face it some twinnys shriek!!! but the only time I heard the Dyson and the Titon in a kitchen I found it sooo distracting & annoying having to listen to it... we are so used to machines being near silent now...

Would be interested in seeing the fill spray jets in action and the inside of the dispenser!!

Cheers, and congrats on the move to Lincoln I see!!!

Mike

Cheers Mike , yes relocated to Lincolnshire at Christmas so I can nearer my family and freinds. I personally dont like near silent washers much I need something that makes some kinda noise lol. The Dyson is in the kitchen and it was on pretty late last night while i was watching tv. was pretty quiet in all, I gather the contrarotation can become noisy if its worn but this machine has been refurbished and seems to run very smoothly.

I'll get some vids done this week and up for you all to see

dyson contrarotator

hi
i'm glad you finally got one, i've got a cr02 white and it is so fast and the clothes are so clean, I love it!!!!
Once you get used to it you don't want to leave it for another washer...
Have fun with the 2 drums.
whats your most favourite/ most used program in the 2 drums?
Mine is Cotton 40oc 1400 spin A class Dirt or Dirt & Stains and sometimes extra rinse.
Bye

Not had chance to do any other washes yet apart from the 40 degree cotton with extra rinse and 1400 spin. It was fast, so fast that i didn't even belive it had heated up the water until i felt it coming out the drain hose, and indeed everything was clean.

dyson diagnostic mode

turn the machine on and press temperature and soil type and the first numbers will tell you how many washes the machines done.
I've done 993 because i've got two other washers, the hotpoint wf541G and a LG WM12220FD and maybe another hotpoint in the future but the best is the dyson most used.

Hi

I even know how to fast forward it, saw my small nephew messing and fast forwarding the machine when no one was looking and i saw him, lol.
after diognostic mode you dont turn the wasger off but you start a program and to forward it to the next stage of the program yu press soil type button once for each step to forward. i've tried it it's simply fast forward.
my frien whose got dyson in silver cr02 allergy he tried it too.

to prove the spin speed on dirt and dirt&stains

when it's washing after diognostic mode the last numbers on the lcd display show speed, on final spin there are 4 numbers followed by Hz.
On dirt soil type it is 1370Hz on final spin and on dirt&stains it is 1760Hz so i think it's faster as it also sounds faster.
the first one rounds up to 1400 and the second one to 1800.

Videos

i'll have videos ready on Friday to upload Funguy. I'm gonna do one with the machine empty too so you can really see the two drums in action.
