Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

it does it on heavier loads, most of the time.
due to the fuzzy logic things can vary as you've already experienced.

Love the pics, wow looks sleek!

reminds me of my dyson in my kitchen before it got put into the utility area in the basement.

I absalutely love the look of it, its stunning. Its definately the best machine i'vev ever bought!

Lol its sticking out far too much atm until the landlady says weather i can take the unit to the left out or if she will get someone to sand it down!

Hiya paul!
Yea it is ridiculously quiet!!!!! The only noise during the wash is the machine pretending it's a kettle lol (boiling noises) & the recirculatory jet pump which isn't that loud but is noticiable as the machine is silent! On spin the machine has a gentle whirr about it. And then it does a cool braking of the drum at the end of the spin like a commercial machine and makes the same "zoooooom" noise as it haults the drum :D

I like how the drum sways back and forth abit when the machine stops tumbling - it's abit like what my Z9292T does, tho the Zanussi has such short gaps between tumbles that it barely stops moving before switching direction!

Interesting how the recirculation jet stops between tumbles too!

You need to make more use of the 9kg drum though Darren - i'm sure you were just desperate to find stuff lying round so you could put the machine on ;)

Hey Guys!
Liam: Yea it is cool how it sways lol :-) Think it's something to do with induction motors my hotpoint did too. Though my bosch does also. Yea this was just a small load. I did put loads in it a few days ago and it shocked me by saying it was 5kg! I was like whaaaat! lol. The only reason i can think of for the jet stopping is to stop wear and tear? it stays on continuously to saturate the load at the beginning then switches to only when it tumbles. Same with the spin it stops and starts.

paul! there will be more glad you enjoyed them :D

Hi As Im sure you know I believe this LG machine has the Direct Drive motor not the capacitor driven induction motor.
They dont actually have a spin brake just electronics that allow very good control of the motor.
Here is a picture of a DD motor in the LG's:
