I like how the drum sways back and forth abit when the machine stops tumbling - it's abit like what my Z9292T does, tho the Zanussi has such short gaps between tumbles that it barely stops moving before switching direction!
Interesting how the recirculation jet stops between tumbles too!
You need to make more use of the 9kg drum though Darren - i'm sure you were just desperate to find stuff lying round so you could put the machine on
Hey Guys!
Liam: Yea it is cool how it sways lol Think it's something to do with induction motors my hotpoint did too. Though my bosch does also. Yea this was just a small load. I did put loads in it a few days ago and it shocked me by saying it was 5kg! I was like whaaaat! lol. The only reason i can think of for the jet stopping is to stop wear and tear? it stays on continuously to saturate the load at the beginning then switches to only when it tumbles. Same with the spin it stops and starts.
Hi As Im sure you know I believe this LG machine has the Direct Drive motor not the capacitor driven induction motor.
They dont actually have a spin brake just electronics that allow very good control of the motor.
Here is a picture of a DD motor in the LG's:
