I've not seen this dryer before!

Everytime I think I've seen all the Sunbeam or Hoover things, I'm thrown a curve ball and see something I've not seen before!

Very common and a variation of the Ronco "Tidy Dryer", for back in the heydays of the 1950's-1960's when girls/women set their hair on rollers and went "under the dryer". Most of these units doubled as a soft bonnet hair dryer and could dry one or two items of intimate apparel that had been washed in the sink. Remember that period was also the last days of when good girls washed their nylons and other intimate apparel nightly after wearing and hung them to dry overnight, usually over the bathtub.

I saw one of these about 5 years ago at a thrift store but didn't buy it - probably should have. I know it wasn't branded Sunbeam but can't remember the brand name now.

That's a rebranded Wagner dryer. Odd that this should show up, as I just saw the Sunbeam version in a Bennett Bros. catalog I recently acquired. Came as a surprise to me, too.
