I love the stove, but I agree with Chuck. That was part of the problem with the Fabulous 400 - my stock pot didn't fit.
Besides, I already have a set of those Frigidaire pull-down burners I never use. AND I've got to get a handle on my stove situation. Right now, I've got my Frigidaire ovens, sans cabinet, sitting on a block on the floor in the kitchen, and a newish Thermador gas cooktop sitting on some plywood on top of a Flair base cabinet. Nouveau Green Acres, you might call it
That was the first Jenn-Air design. It was probably very effective, but as you said, limiting. A friend had an old house in Atlanta. He took out the stove and went to Sears and bought a cooktop, oven and dishwasher. When he talked to Sears about cabinets, he thought that they wanted too much money so the cooktop and oven sat on a redwood picnic table with the dishwasher at the end.
This was a particularly thankful Thanksgiving for us. A year ago, Mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Thanks to the great staff at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she is now in remission, and was feeling good enough to make this trip.
